Consultant work currently includes: the development of 6 money management program sites across the state of Texas, providing program start-up, staff training, and volunteer recruitment and training for agencies in El Paso, Laredo, Lubbock, Midland, Tyler, and McAllen; foundation research and grant writing and proposal submissions.

 

AARP

AARP Texas State Office

Responsibilities included the recruitment, training, retention, and recognition of AARP volunteers state-wide in all issue and program areas. Received the AARP Sustained Excellence Award (2002). Administration of AARP Foundation grants in 2007.

 

Family Eldercare

Served as the Director of Volunteer Services, managing, recruiting and training over 300 volunteers per year in the areas of guardianship services, money management, in-home care and respite, and the Alzheimer’s day program.  

For nine years, has served as a Guardian Advocate volunteer for a client at the Austin State School
